Wow! From the looks of the setlists, there must have been some barn-burners! The only disappointment is that there are no shows scheduled after 1/30 until 4/3. I hope this only means that there are other dates that just need to be confimed before they slip in between. Let's all keep our fingers crossed!

Holy Smokes! What a great show! An Eyes (a complete and total monster) and a Sat nite in the first set was good indication that it was going to be a great evening. The Shakedown, Estimated, and GDTRFB from the second set were total meltdowns as well. Finally being treated with a Bid you goodnite followed by a Stella & Don't Ease Me In as a double encore was a great way to say goodbye.
I will try to catch you in Charlotte since one is never enough. Would love to see a return visit to the Licoln Theatre in the spring (if not sooner). Thanks so much for a bone-shakin good time!

Wondering / Hoping
NC
I see that Cosmic is Carboro bound! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Let's all hope for a good psychedelic-cowboy set. Nothing gets the fans going more than when Johnny Cash meets acid rock climax jams. Cosmic Chuck does it better than any other I've heard. Forget DSO, forget any other 'cover' band trying to -do- what they do. If we can get a good 1/2 Step fired up along with some Cumberland Blues, it's all gravy. Late.

Lincoln Theatre Show

Very good show! A hard-charging Cumberland Blues, funky Shakedown, and joyous Sugar Mags were among the Dead tune highlights. The Dark Side 'O' the Moon set was also played to perfection. Great effects and perfect vocals made this set as tasty as ever. Come on back to Cradle before my jones gets too hard to handle. Hope to see you sooner than later!

Myrtle Beach
Wow. You guys really lit the place up. Great job at the Jerry-fest at the boathouse. Please come back and see us in Myrtle Beach before next Jerry-fest. Maybe you could contact the House of Blues and line up a date. We need some help around the beach - it is usually sooooooo plastic around here.

I would like to offer my 2 cents on my impression of Cosmic's music.
Having never heard of the band before (sorry...I don't get out much anymore), I came to a recent show with no real expectations. Like some other grateful dead fans, the idea of a 'dead cover band' approaches blasphomy. That being said, I was open to see what the band could do.
And what the band could do was........PLAY! Cosmic freakin Charlie! As much as I relished the noodling and improvisational transitions of GD, it was the unification of each band members energy into a sustained peak that kept me coming back to get my soul refreshed. This is exactly what CC did....FOR EVERY SINGLE SONG! I could go on and on, but let me say this:
Your are the answer to a prayer that has been otherwise unanswered for 13 years. I am just sorry it took me so long to find your group.
For anyone that is looking for a ride on a tidal wave, look no further than Cosmic Charlie!
I look forward to more shows in the fall!

Hey everyone, thanks for the posts and emails. Everyone in the band is OK, although a little shaken up and dirty from picking through all our damaged, burnt and soaked gear. But, as someone once said, "We will get by".
It is uncertain whether any of the loss will be covered by insurance. In case anyone out there has extra funds they would like to donate to a good cause, the band can use all the help it can get right now, to purchase new gear and get back on the road. If you have any ideas about this, feel free to send an email to info@cosmiccharlie.net
Meanwhile, watch John claim his 15 minutes of fame in this video newscast: http://www.wsoctv.com/news/15853446/detail.html
Hope to see y'all soon...

I'm sorry about last night ya'll! That sucks that you guys lost equipment in that fire. When you guys said it smelled like paper burning, I thought you guys were referring to a joint or something until those flames shot up. I hope you guys aren't too jaded by the experience and come back soon (or at least once boone saloon is fixed)! sucks that the show was cut short and our bar is ruined
